Proposing to call on Macrone on Monday, by which time they will have received the book [Sketches by Boz] from Chruikshank. Discussing his work on "A Visit to Newgate," mentioning that Mr. Hogarth perused it and thinks "it would 'make' any book." Noting that he doesn't "say this egotistically of course, but merely to shew [Macrone] that [he has] been exerting [him]self for both [their] sakes."
